Premiere: Malia Grace’s Cover of “The Christmas Song”

We’re exactly one week from Christmas, and if you weren’t already caroling from the rooftops, we have just the track to get you there. Austin songstress Malia Grace is premiering her version of “The Christmas Song” here on idobi Radio.

Chase and I  really enjoyed recording this song and are really happy with how it came out–also slightly shocked we were able to get a good take pretty quickly!  I always love collaborating with good friends, and the holidays are the perfect time to come together and make something magical.

Originally performed by Nat King Cole, and covered countless times since, the song brings warmly decorated fireplaces and the aroma of pine tress covered in tinsel and ornaments from your fourth grade art class to mind in a beautiful whirlwind of smooth vocals and soothing instruments. Grace’s take on the classic song is sure to get you in the holiday spirit, just in time for turkey and some mistletoe. Listen to the cover below, then check out Grace’s live show this January.
