Premiere: Heavy Static’s “An Evil That Hides”

Here comes Heavy Static. A Toronto based alt-rock band, the group is watching a new EP loom on the horizon, while they patiently wait to be the next epidemic. Today, they’re premiering a brand new track here on idobi.com, titled “An Evil That Hides”.

“Despite it’s bouncy beat, the tone of the song seemed to have a certain darkness to it – almost evoking a bizarre, sadistic love story. I immediately thought of killer couples like Myra Hindley/Ian Brady (who committed the Moors Murders) as well as infamous Canadian couple Paul Bernardo/Karla Homolka. How two evil people manage to find each other and fall in love in this crazy, vast world of ours will never cease to amaze me. It’s an absolutely bizarre concept and terrifying reality.”

That new EP that’s coming up? It’s titled  Here Comes The Fear, and you can watch for it on July 22nd. Check out the track below, and let us know what you think on Twitter!
