A project that started as the solo endeavor of Adam “Rupert” Fisher became much more when he invited Brian Ferrera on to help out with the progressive indie rock tracks. The two have just released a seventeen track collection, from which “I’m Afraid” was pulled.

You tracked studio time for the new album, Teenagers, You Don’t Have To Die! in July of 2014. How have you changed, both personally and as a duo, since you began working on it?
Adam: Well, going into a new record I feel that I have a lot more to write about. Different content if you will. The songs were all written before Brian came into the picture. This time around, I’ll have a partner in crime from the get go which is very exciting for me. My beard has filled out a little in the last two years too so thats cool.
Brian: Well, we’d be lying if we said neither of us have changed personally or even as a duo. It’s all been for the better too, and we are just pushing as hard as we possibly can. Everything has really just been a natural evolution, even when writing the record itself. I’d say the biggest change is finally having it released, and having our feet on the ground with the release in which we can now push. Now we want to work on the next one together and kind of expand on what we’ve done which is really awesome cause we are both all for constructive criticism to benefit the songs, music, lyrics, etc. etc.

How do your experiences from living on two separate coasts (New Jersey and California, respectively) play into your sound?
Adam: I’d say it brings out our truest selves because we’re not in a room jamming and Brian can’t be like “Adam, you are singing like a little girl in the rain” and I can’t say “Brian, you are playing drums like a sissy ass mamas boy”. Basically there’s no one around to really to shoot down first takes. I mean, we produce each other in some ways but a lot of first ideas make it through which I  think has been a good thing.

Brian: We have a lot of trust within what we do. Like Adam said, a lot of our initial ideas were approved by one another. So when we’d approve anything, we’d move forward and onto the next, and so on. I feel like having that isolation from each other when tracking our ideas in our demos brought out what we were both feeling in the time frame we had done everything. There was lots of experimentation and trial and error.

Tell us about the creation of “I’m Afraid”.
Adam: That is the first song I ever wrote fully on piano. I was quite excited. It’s a very simple progression but I’d never really done that before. Lyrically it’s just about feeling like you’ll never get to do all the things you want to do. When writing I just kind of locked myself away all day every day and was feeling that isolation. It also preys on the whole nostalgia thing. Missing running around in the woods and catching snakes and climbing trees. We grow up and lose touch with some of our values we held when we were kids.
Brian: It was actually the very first song that I’d heard when Adam first asked me if I’d be interested in playing together. I was sold on it immediately cause it’s extremely relatable, and I had some great ideas for the rhythm/spine as soon as I started listening. For me, it was really “what can I do that’s going to bring out the most in the message we’re trying to portray?” I think we nailed it.

Where will the future take All Human?

Adam: I’m thinking like Grammys, MTV Video Awards, the White House. In reality though probably grimy rock venues all across the US, peoples floors, and hopefully a third record.

Brian: I’m not Ms. Cleo, so I can’t see the future the way she does – pretty amazing stuff. I can say that we want to tour and want to write more, and really just want to keep doing everything we can to be successful in doing so.
