Everyday Heroes: Supporting Superheroes from all Walks of Life

In this age of blockbuster superhero franchises and the focus on the vigilante/anti-hero, it’s easy to forget that heroes don’t always wear capes. Individuals can make a difference, and can challenge the impossible everydaylike those fighting for equality, for those raising awareness of the recent injustices of the water crisis in Flint, MI, for those making sure good prevails with hope and idealism. Superheroes exist in real life too, and  Geek Girl Riot‘s Day Al-Mohamed is here to tell you  why she cares about superheroes from all walks of life, and why you should too.
