idobi Liner Notes: Vault 51 – ‘Kid’ EP

Welcome to the first official idobi Liner Notes, where you’ll find artists digging into their records like never before. From singles to deep cuts, songwriting to recording, hear the stories behind each track of the album, as told by the artists themselves. And who better to kick off idobi Liner Notes than Vault 51? The alt/hard rock quintet just dropped their debut EP Kid and lit the world on (wild)fire.

Kid wears its proverbial heart on its sleeve, and wears it proudly over a shining armor of breakneck yet beautifully melodic riffs. In just six tracks Vault 51 have proved not only the wide range of talent of each individual member, but also how much potential they have as a unit—this band is going places, so you’d better get to know them before they take over the scene.

It’s already been one hell of a journey for Vault 51 to get here—life and the trials of the music industry haven’t always been easy for the band, but we’re so glad they’ve made it to where they are today, bringing their stories you won’t find anywhere else. So settle in as vocalist Landon Jones’ takes you track by track through the release, and talks how learning to not care what other people think influenced their perspective while writing, as well as finding comfort in the chaos of life, with a whole bunch of enthralling stories along the way.
