EPISODE DETAILS
“Punk Goes Pride” is an exciting new platform for artists both in the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies. The conversations are fun, silly, light-hearted and honest to highlight the experience of queer artists as natural and normal. It’s cool to be queer! The show focuses on the part “after it gets better” so listeners struggling with their sexuality and gender identity know they have incredible experiences to look forward to as the result of being brave and strong. The show aims to build a bridge between communities by providing a fresh outlook on queerness in music. “Punk Goes Pride” is working to make the punk and alternative scene a more inclusive space.

Tate Logan

Tate Logan’s influences range from 90s surf rock, 00s pop-punk, modern hyper pop, and singer/songwriter deep-cuts, a limitless resource of musical taste. Tate is a dedicated activist in the LGBTQIA+ community creating an inclusive and supportive space for all of his fans and encouraging them to be exactly who they are. This inspired Tate to embark on a solo career to fully embrace his identity as a transman in the alternative scene and dedicate his passion for music to those who need representation in those spaces. Fashion, art, and music are all deeply intertwined in Tate’s world. Inspirations from the glamour rock of Mötley Crüe, to the dirty edge of Britpop, to the fearless provocation of Lady Gaga, there is always a dedication to leather, chains, and cheetah print in Tate’s wardrobe. Tate Logan (Los Angeles, CA) recently released a powerful and cathartic continuance to his very new and buzzing solo career with the upcoming EP ‘Double Feature’ (via Secret Friends Music Group). The EP features two tracks; “End of the World” and “Better Days” (produced and mixed by Marc McClusky (Weezer, Motion City Soundtrack, The Front Bottoms). ‘Double Feature’ EP is the follow up to Tate Logan’s debut single release “Kill Me To Try” produced by Matt Squire (One Direction, Katy Perry, Panic! At The Disco), which was featured in outlets such as CNN, Alternative Press, GLAAD, Punk News and Mundane Magazine (highlighting Tate as a transgender activist). Tate Logan spent the first years out of school fronting the band “Happy.” and released multiple records both produced by Will Pugh (Cartel) and Marc McClusky. Happy. also toured North America with Super Whatevr (Hopeless), Chapel (Rise), and more.
