What If My Chemical Romance Were Cast for a Biopic?

It’s only a matter of time before My Chemical Romance—the band that rewrote the DNA of emo for an entire generation clad in black suits and red ties—gets the Hollywood treatment. At least we freaking hope so! With the success of the Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody and the Oscar-nominated A Complete Unknown, we can’t help but imagine what an MCR movie would look like: the eyeliner, the concept albums, the trauma, the triumph. Or perhaps, a post-apocalyptic afterlife centered around The Black Parade, with The Patient as the lead character and the band themselves driving the story forward through musical performances.… Read more »

Not to mention, Williams has become an idol for many young women who love the rock genre or are currently in the primarily male-dominated music space. With that being said, here is the best… Read more »

KennyHoopla is Looking Toward the “NORTHERN LIGHTS//” on New Single

Marking his long-awaited return, KennyHoopla kicks off 2025 with “NORTHERN LIGHTS//,” his first release in nearly a year—and it’s unlike anything he’s dropped before. Departing from the raucous pop-punk energy that’s defined much of his catalog, the new track leans into an ambient, cinematic atmosphere that feels extremely intimate.  Built around his hushed, almost whispered vocals and a twinkling guitar line that evokes the vast quiet of the Midwest emo/indie movement of the late ‘90s/early 2000s, “NORTHERN LIGHTS//” reveals a more introspective and experimental side of Kenny’s artistry. He shares the next chapter of his journey on social media. “I… Read more »
