The All-American Rejects showed up and showed out at Vans Warped Tour Long Beach on July 27. The “Dirty Little Secret” artists were introduced to the stage by surprise guest Skeet Ulrich (in character as Ed Sullivan). Playing hits such as “Swing, Swing” all the way to “Sweat,” the quartet also took a moment to mourn the loss of Ozzy Osbourne and play an acoustic cover of “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” Frontman Tyson Ritter says, “The world lost a legend this week, man, Ozzy fucking Osbourne. The Prince Of Darkness. Informed a lot of these bands on this stage, pretty… Read more »
This past Vans Warped Tour weekend was jam-packed with thrilling bands, rad skateboarders (including the Tony Hawk), and surprise guests. In fact, The Paradox, who just released their new single “Bender” featuring Travis Barker, invited up the blink-182 drummer to their set. And yes—it was simply iconic. The quartet, who jokingly call themselves “Black-182,” had Barker onstage to help them cover blink-182’s “The Rock Show,” and we all fell in love. Then, the group played their latest high-octane, party-inducing track “Bender.” Frankly, it’s impossible not to dance to this group, especially when watching their rager of a music video. Following the release of singles, “Piranha,” “Monsters,” and “Soprano,” Nova Twins just dropped their new track and music video for “N.O.V.A.” The singles will appear on their forthcoming Parasites & Butterflies. The 12-track collection is slated to drop on August 29, 2025 via Marshall Records. The new track is an entire party condensed into a few minutes, and we are so glad we got the invite. Nova Twins say, “This song is dedicated to all our fierce alt warriors who dare to be different, and unapologetically themselves! Keep shining.” They add, “This is a celebration of identity, a tribute to… Read more »
Cobra Starship is officially back and about to make their legendary return to Warped Tour—this time hitting the stage at Long Beach. On this episode of idobi Warped Radio, Gabe Saporta and Victoria Asher (aka Vicky-T) sit down with Peyton Grufik of idobi Radio to rewind the clock and relive the neon madness of their rise, one purple hoodie and keytar riff at a time.
From the moment online AI started claiming Cobra Starship’s name was inspired by Lilo & Stitch (Gabe confirms: he’s never seen it) to performing “One Night” at a party on 90210 (which Vicky had to remind Gabe of), the interview is packed with hilarious behind-the-scenes stories. The duo also dish on what it was like collaborating with Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester on “Good Girls Go Bad” and how Gabe ended up on the show himself in a brief cameo alongside Blake Lively. Plus, Vicky-T laughs about the label-directed remake of their “Guilty Pleasures” video, which the band took the opportunity to poke fun at.
Gabe and Vicky reflect on their first and only Warped Tour appearance in 2008, why they ended the band in 2015, and how it feels to be stepping back into the world of Cobra after nearly a decade away. Spoiler: It’s way more fun now. They talk candidly about growing pains, evolving lineups, and the way the music industry became less about community and more about competition.
Through it all, one thing is clear: Cobra Starship have brought the party back to life!
Andy Biersack—aka Andy Black of Black Veil Brides—joins idobi Warped Radio for a conversation filled with chaos, heart, and the kind of nostalgia that only Warped Tour can conjure. He takes us back to 2003, when he was just a 12-year-old fan attending his very first Warped with his dad. Camped out at one stage all day to see AFI, Andy was already dreaming about the day he’d play the iconic tour himself. That dream not only came true—it changed the course of his life. From falling in love with his now-wife Juliet Simms (aka Lilith Czar, whom he met… Read more »
Andy Biersack (aka Andy Black) of Black Veil Brides joins idobi Warped Radio for a conversation that’s equal parts heart, chaos, and nostalgia. He reflects on attending his first Warped Tour in 2003 with his dad—just a 12-year-old kid camped out all day at one stage to see AFI, already dreaming of the day he’d play the legendary festival himself—and how that experience would go on to shape both his career and personal life. From falling in love with his now-wife Juliet Simms (aka Lilith Czar, whom he met on Warped), to literally throwing a poop bag off the tour bus at a group of fans by accident (yes, really), Andy shares it all.
In conversation with Brandy-Baye Robidoux, Andy opens up about growing up in the scene—from stepping on stage at 16 to returning to Warped Tour at 34—and how the tour became a turning point in understanding just how deeply his music resonated with fans. He opens up about the importance of lifting up new voices, how being bullied as a band shaped his ethos, and more.
Andy also lets us in on the things that shaped him: Sweeney Todd, Batman, and working alongside Juliet since day one. From breaking ribs onstage to breaking stereotypes off it, Andy Black proves once again he’s always been the real deal.
Vans Warped Tour DC kicked off on June 14, aka Trump’s birthday and the date of the Army’s 250th anniversary parade. Between the authoritarian amount of tanks in the nation’s capital, the attacks on the LGBTQ+ community (especially during Pride month), the Israeli violence perpetrated against Palestinians, and the vile ICE raids happening in Los Angeles and beyond… it’s fair to say that the punks have a lot to say about the state of the world. These brave musicians and artists used their platforms (which were broadcast on Amazon Prime) to speak truth to power. Here are the political messages… Read more »
