Cobra Starship and Patrick Stump Perform “Kiss My Sass”


Cobra Starship took to the When We Were Young 2024 Purple Stage at 3:30 PM to play their beloved LP ¡Viva la Cobra! in its entirety. The 2007 Patrick Stump-produced record includes hits such as “Guilty Pleasure” and “Kiss My Sass.” During their set, the band decked out the stage to look like the inside of an airplane, dressed as pilots and stewardesses before throwing on their iconic purple hoodies. 3OH!3 Perform “STARSTRUKK” at When We Were Young — PHOTOS


3OH!3 took to the When We Were Young Festival Ghost Stage at 2 PM local time to deliver a full playthrough of their 2008 mega-hit album WANT, which was released via Photo Finish Records. The setlist included scene faves such as “DONTTRUSTME,” “CHOKECHAIN,” and “STARSTRUKK.” On WANT Deluxe, duo Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte tapped Katy Perry to sing on “STARSTRUKK” and even made a music video. After an indefinite hiatus that led We Are The In Crowd to quietly disband (sort of), the members of the beloved pop-punk band regrouped under vocalist Tay Jardine’s project, SAINTE. The new project features all WATIC members except Jordan Eckes and Rob Chianelli. However, after nearly a decade away from the U.S. stage, We Are The In Crowd has officially returned. Anberlin Vocalist Stephen Christian Surprises Fans at WWWY Fest


After releasing their new single “High Stakes” with vocalist Matty Mullins at the mic, Anberlin has given the track its live debut at When We Were Young Fest. In addition to their new track, the group performed their beloved 2008 full-length album New Surrender, featuring their hit single “Feel Good Drag.” The group then surprised fans by welcoming their original vocalist, Stephen Christian, as Mullins exited. My Chemical Romance Allegedly Overheard Rehearsing “I’m Not Okay”


In a moment that has started to gain attention on TikTok, Y2K artist Middle Part posted a now semi-viral video on August 1, 2024, in which they allegedly overheard My Chemical Romance rehearsing their 2004 breakout single “I’m Not Okay (I Promise).” The track appears on the group’s album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, which celebrated its 20 year anniversary in June.  Given the timing and location, it’s not impossible that a fellow musician could have heard My Chemical Romance rehearsing in a Los Angeles studio.
