Warner Music Group pulled all of its music videos and related content off YouTube this weekend as negotiations between the label and the video site hit a stand still. WMG was one of the first of the majors to align itself with YouTube. “We are working actively to find a resolution with YouTube that would enable the return of our artists’ content to the site,” the label says in a statement. “Until then, we simply cannot accept terms that fail to appropriately and fairly compensate recording artists, songwriters, labels and publishers for the value they provide.” While WMG has withdrawn… Read more »

Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has released a video in support of gay marriage. In the video clip, Slash plays the national anthem ” The Star-Spangled Banner ” on guitar in the background while his wife, Perla Hudson, speaks out on behalf of same-sex unions . “I married my sweetheart, you should be able to marry yours too,” she says. “Say no to hate and yes to equal rights. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Florida teenager has been sentenced to 18 months in juvenile detention for coaxing his senile grandmother into holding a gun and threatening to shoot “all the pigs” in a homemade “gangster rap” video. Eighteen-year-old Michael Alfinez pleaded guilty Tuesday to elder abuse charges. His family has said the case was a misunderstanding.
