Paranormal Investigator Dan Rivera Dies After Handling Haunted Annabelle Doll

Paranormal investigator Dan Rivera, 54, suddenly died on Sunday, July 13, in Gettysburg, PA, while on the Devils on the Run tour, hosted by The New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR). The tour boasted that it would bring Ed and Lorraine Warren’s (the primary inspiration for The Conjuring film series) “investigations to life.” This included showcasing haunted objects from the Warren’s Occult Museum, including the infamous Annabelle doll. At this time, the cause of death has not been shared. Lead investigator Chris “Jeek” Gilloren posted to the official NESPR social media accounts saying, “It’s with deep sadness that Tony,… Read more »

My Chemical Romance Is & Always Will Be Political… Deal With It

Uh oh… My Chemical Romance has entered the “online discourse,” and long-time fans are clashing with “casual” fans. My Chemical Romance has just kicked off their Long Live The Black Parade tour, and some ticket holders took to social media to describe their surprise and perhaps upset with the band for their political themes. At the Seattle date, Gerard Way held an “election” with the crowd who “voted” for hooded “candidates” in the center of the stadium. In classic MCR theatrical fashion, these hooded figures were “executed” and taken out in body bags. “Thank you so very much for participating… Read more »

12 New-Age Protest Songs To Listen To This 4th of July

For Americans across the nation, this July 4th might not feel like one worth celebrating. In Trump’s first six months in office, he’s sent the military on U.S. citizens in Los Angeles. ICE arrests have broken innocent families apart, and in most cases, those being deported have no criminal record (or are actual American citizens). Countless pieces of legislation were introduced or passed that take direct aim at the LGBTQ+ community. Federal workers were laid off en masse, the genocide in Palestine rages on, and this is merely scratching the surface. Refer back, even further, to 2023 when SCOTUS overturned… Read more »

Vans Warped Tour DC kicked off on June 14, aka Trump’s birthday and the date of the Army’s 250th anniversary parade. These brave musicians and artists used their platforms (which were broadcast on Amazon Prime) to speak truth to power. Here are the political messages… Read more »

So… Are Music Festivals Getting Worse? The Internet Thinks So

Music festival season is officially upon us. Coachella kicked off the start of massive summer concert events on April 11-13 and April 18-20, and Columbus’ Sonic Temple Festival closely followed up on May 8-11. Some attendee accounts from these fests have stirred up major controversy, which forces the question, “Are festivals getting worse?” For starters, Coachella opened their weekends with cars stuck in traffic for 12+ hours, as reported by ABC7 Chicago. “I’ve seen people pass out from heat exhaustion,” one interviewee said. Some cars even ran out of gas and needed to be pushed onto the grounds. This past… Read more »
