Warped Tour Sets Lineup, Itinerary


Bad Religion, the Vandals, Good Charlotte, Lars Frederiksen & the Bastards, and NOFX are among the more than 50 acts set for the 10th anniversary edition of the Vans Warped Tour. The trek, which will begin June 25 in Houston, will also feature New Found Glory, Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, the (International) Noise Conspiracy, Simple Plan, Bouncing Souls, and Coheed & Cambria. Vivendi, Diller in Talks on NBC-Universal


InteractiveCorp chief executive Barry Diller said Monday he is talking to French entertainment and telecommunications firm Vivendi Universal about the sale of his stake in Vivendi’s entertainment arm as it merges with NBC. Diller said he has had “superficial discussions” with Vivendi’s chief executive about unwinding the complicated partnership known as Vivendi Universal Entertainment. Metallica, Godsmack to Tour in 2004


Metallica and Godsmack are gearing up for a 2004 North American arena tour which could stretch as far as 80 dates, Billboard.com has learned. The trek will begin March 2 in Phoenix; other confirmed dates include March 8 in San Francisco and March 28 in Seattle. The first batch of ticket on-sales will begin Saturday (Dec. 20) via Ticketmaster. Pearl Jam Plans Oct. 22 Seattle Benefit Show


Pearl Jam has signed on for an Oct. 22 benefit at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall, with all proceeds to be donated to YouthCare and the Orion Teen Center. The rare acoustic show will come three days before the group performs for the sixth time at Neil Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit concert outside San Francisco. Now that the unfortunately dubbed SARSstock is finally over and done with, Ontarians have another “stock” to look forward to: Wakestock. Wakestock, held each year at Wasaga Beach (which, for those of you not in the know, is the world’s longest freshwater beach), is a huge four-day festival of boarding, bands, bikinis and beaches.
