NEW YORK — Sotheby‘s has withdrawn from auction three papers related to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr after his estate claimed the documents being sold by Harry Belafonte are estate property. Belafonte himself asked that the papers be withdrawn from Thursday’s sale, said Lauren Gioia, a Sotheby’s spokeswoman. The auction house did not comment further. The eighth Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will take place June 11-14, 2009, on its usual site in Manchester, Tennessee, an hour southeast of Nashville. The first round of ticket presales begins Thursday ( December 4 ); a lineup announcement is expected early next year. One of the first responders to a fiery South Carolina plane crash said Wednesday that a pair of musicians escaped the flaming wreckage by sliding down the wing. “They said the plane went down. They didn’t say how or if they knew,” said Lt. A French museum has found a previously unknown piece of music handwritten by Mozart, a researcher said Thursday. The 18th century melody sketch is missing the harmony and instrumentation but was described as important find.
