Alexander O’Connor, better known as Rex Orange County, was Downtown LA’s man of the hour last night. In celebration of his latest album, The Alexander Technique, an intimate crowd gathered at Pico Union Project, where Rex performed about a dozen songs. Happy anniversary to the one and only Stomachaches by Frank Iero. In celebration of its 10th birthday, the My Chemical Romance and L.S. Dunes guitarist released a deluxe version of the record titled XNauseousX. Last week, Kai Turmann, a lifelong friend of Bill Crook, announced via Instagram that Bill, who previously served as the bassist for Spiritbox and the pop-punk act Living With Lions, had suddenly passed away. Since that initial post, artists from the metal, pop-punk, and alternative music communities have flooded Bill’s final post on Instagram, where he detailed working with Underoath drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie on new music at the beginning of July.
