Jonathan Davis co-wrote and recorded five songs for the upcoming vampire flick “Queen of the Damned,” but don’t expect to hear the Korn singer’s recognizable growl on the film’s soundtrack. Because Davis’ record label contract prohibits his voice from appearing on the disc, which will be released around the same time as the next Korn album, he has recruited and trained veteran hard rock singer Jeff Scott Soto to record his parts, according to a Warner Bros. spokesperson for the movie. Van Morrison has won libel damages because of an Irish newspaper report that alleged he had an affair with singer Linda Gail Lewis. A lawyer for the Sunday Independent apologized for the report to Morrison and his long-term partner Michelle Rocca in Belfast’s High Court Wednesday (November 14). The allegations had been taken from extracts of an interview Lewis did last month on an Irish television talk show. Radio One, Inc. today announced it is bringing Urban programming, much of it formerly unavailable in thousands of U.S. cities, to every corner of the contiguous 48 states, with the national launch of XM Satellite Radio.
