Phish Sets Eight-Show Fall Trek


Phish will eschew an extensive fall North American tour in favor of an eight-show run, which will include a New Year’s Eve show at American Airlines Arena in Miami. The outing will also play host to Phish’s 20th anniversary concert, set for Dec. 2 at Boston’s FleetCenter. Additional stops on the tour include Uniondale, N.Y. (Nov. 28), Philadelphia (Nov. 29), Albany, N.Y. (Dec. 1) and three additional shows in Miami (Dec. 28-30). Student Sued By RIAA Raises Settlement Money Through Web Site


So much for needing a summer job. Jesse Jordan, the Long Island, New York, teenager who was one of four college students sued by the Recording Industry Association of America for copyright infringement back in April, has made back all the money he owed as part of his $12,000 settlement, and he didn’t do it the old-fashioned way. Jordan was accused by the RIAA of running a file-sharing Web site. While he admitted no wrongdoing, he settled along with the three other accused college students rather than challenge the lawsuit. Eminem, the headliner of Summer Jam 10, took time on stage to show his anger toward the Source magazine. During a break in his performance on Tuesday (June 3) at Giants Stadium, Eminem hurled his 2000 Source Award for Lyricist Of The Year to the ground.
