Originally appearing on their 2005 album Never Take Friendship Personal, Anberlin has reimagined their track “A Day Late” with frontman Matty Mullins at the mic. Marking the band’s forward movement with Mullins stepping in for vocalist Stephen Christian, who made a surprise appearance at When We Were Young Fest in 2024, as the re-release celebrates their legacy as well as their resilience to reach larger audiences. New Jersey’s pop-punk up-and-comers Northvale just dropped their new track and music video for “Hang In There, Kid,” which explores a very necessary message about mental health. The track is preceded by the group’s collab with The Dangerous Summer‘s AJ Perdomo, “Already Dead.” Frontman Keith Karol shares, “‘Hang In There Kid’ is a poignant exploration of despair and the brink of giving up, narrated through the lens of someone contemplating the finality of suicide. After their incredible performance at When We Were Young last month, Anberlin has announced a headlining tour next winter, celebrating the 20 year anniversary of their album Never Take Friendship Personal. Joining them will be Copeland performing their album In Motion in its entirety, along with The Dangerous Summer, Spitalfield, and Madina Lake on select dates.
