12 New-Age Protest Songs To Listen To This 4th of July

For Americans across the nation, this July 4th might not feel like one worth celebrating. In Trump’s first six months in office, he’s sent the military on U.S. citizens in Los Angeles. ICE arrests have broken innocent families apart, and in most cases, those being deported have no criminal record (or are actual American citizens). Countless pieces of legislation were introduced or passed that take direct aim at the LGBTQ+ community. Federal workers were laid off en masse, the genocide in Palestine rages on, and this is merely scratching the surface. Refer back, even further, to 2023 when SCOTUS overturned… Read more »

Strings Or No Strings Attached to Chri$tian Gate$

Chri$tian Gate$ stopped by the idobi Radio Studios to talk all about his debut album, NO STRINGS ATTACHED. As for his debut record, Christian is already an RIAA-Gold selling artist from his earlier track “Lost,” which gained viral success on TikTok. NO STRINGS ATTACHED officially dropped independently on November 1, and you can hear his singles in rotation on the free idobi app.  The last time Christian came by the studio was to promote his single “I Won’t Beg For You,” which showcased a folkier side to his music. Bad Omens Has Officially Dropped A New Teaser Video

Bad Omens has officially revealed that they’re back in the recording studio, according to posts made on social media in September 2024. Now, the band has dropped an official teaser video, and fans are over-the-moon excited for all that’s to come.  The teaser video feels like it is straight out of a horror movie. Eerie visuals include a TV in a dark room playing nothing but static, an empty hospital bed, and a shadowy figure walking down a narrow hallway. The end of the video fades to black, and you can hear a robotic, raspy voice say, “Goodbye, friend.” On… Read more »

Say Anything Revisits ‘…Is A Real Boy’ 20 Years Later

Say Anything is a band that you can’t appropriately compare to any other band. Perhaps you could attempt to use metrics like ticket sales or song charting, but certainly not in any tangible sense of emotion, delivery, or downright weirdness. Say Anything kicked the doors down when they entered the scene with a huge “Fuck You” to any preconceived notion of what a “punk” or “emo” band should be. They didn’t give a shit about being a cog in the music industry machine—in fact, they were pretty loud about their despise for it. They wanted to share their passion for… Read more »
