Say Anything Emerge From Hiatus With Four Night Run At Bowery Ballroom


Beloved emo rock icons Say Anything emerged from hiatus last Friday for their first show in nearly five years. Frontman Max Bemis and the refreshed lineup dug in for a sold-out, four night run at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom with a line of fans camped out in the rain on Delancey Street waiting for doors to open. This post tugs at my heart-strings and is going to be hard to write. A band that many of us grew up with, have shared tears of joy and pain, danced with and screamed our lungs out to, Say Anything – is saying good-bye.  At least, for now. Say Anything have announced their summer headlining tour with Modern Baseball, Cymbals Eat Guitars, and Hard Girls. If you’re still not convinced this is going to be one epic tour, check this out: the band will also be accompanied by a live string quartet and a full band onstage.
