The British Army has recalled 300 promotional videos featuring music by rock band Oasis after the songs were used without the band’s permission, the Ministry of Defense said on Saturday. The singles “Wonderwall” and “Hello” from the Gallagher brothers’ hit 1995 album “What’s the Story Morning Glory” were featured on the soundtrack to a video produced for the Highlanders regiment. Ramones bassist Dee Dee Ramone died of an apparent drug overdose in Hollywood on Wednesday (June 5). When the group was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in March, some of modern rock’s biggest stars tipped their hats to the legendary band and Ramone himself. When Aerosmith tell you which way to walk this summer, they’ll be pointing at Kid Rock and Run-D.M.C., who’ll join the veteran rockers on select tour dates across the country. The collaboration is a reunion of sorts for the three acts, who played a medley of “Walk This Way,” “Rock Box” and “King of Rock” at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. Apparently the May 9, 1999 Love and Rockets show at the Roxy in Los Angeles, CA was taped, but as the crew tore down the band’s equipment immediately following the show, the tapes (ADAT tapes about the size of a cassette) were stolen. Papa Roach continues to ramp up its promotional appearances in support of its second major-label album, Lovehatetragedy, which arrives June 18 from DreamWorks Records. Tickets to see major performers like the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney are expected to reach into the hundreds of dollars. The Wall Street Journal said average Stones’ tickets will run between $50 and $100, with top-tier tickets going for about $350.
