Janet Jackson probably wasn’t smiling Wednesday (July 18), and neither were her Milwaukee fans. The singer reportedly canceled her concert there just hours before showtime after undergoing emergency dental work. Jackson chipped a tooth and had to have an emergency root canal, according to Milwaukee TV station WTMJ. A Bradley Center spokesperson told the TV station that the accident occurred while Jackson and her crew were setting up the show Wednesday afternoon. Promoters told fans – some of whom had already arrived at the venue for the show – to hang on to their tickets, as the show may be… Read more »

Little more than eight months ago, LMiV’s five founding companies pledged to redefine radio’s relationship with the Internet by giving broadcasters the opportunity to expand into the electronic publishing arena. Janet Jackson Live: Tears, Bondage And Tupac

“Come back to me,” the tiny figure onstage pleaded, her arms outstretched. Janet, they never left. At least that’s how it sounded as her attempt at that 1989 weeper was drowned out by two full minutes of a standing ovation – and that was three songs into the set. Pop Lolitas-of-the-week may come and go, but this Jackson, it seems, is forever, if Saturday night’s All for You tour kickoff was any indication. Following a sparsely attended set from opening R&B quartet 112 and a good 40 minutes of pre-recorded Motown hits, the arena lights went down and the screaming… Read more »

Blink 182 Add Tour Dates

Blink 182 kicked off its tour on Wednesday (July 4) in Moline, Illinois at Mark Of The Quad Cities, and the band literally proved to naysayers that it gives a flaming flying fuck. As fans awaited the band, the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey played. As the curtain opened, fans were greeted by a giant “FUCK” sign engulfed in flames, circa Kiss 1977. The rest of Blink’s set also contained a heavy dose of pyrotechnics. Parents who accompanied their children to the show may have sat with mouths open in shock at the giant burning expletive in the background,… Read more »
