Funk/punk/rap-rockers 311 will follow their summer on the Warped Tour with an extensive headlining tour across North America. The group will kick off a two-month swing in support of its latest album, From Chaos, at the Street Scene in San Diego on September 8 and play more than three dozen shows through the end of October. The trek culminates in a Halloween performance at the Universal Amphitheater in the group’s home base of Los Angeles. As A.J. McLean continues treatment for alcoholism, depression and anxiety, the Backstreet Boys are on course to resume their tour as planned on August 24 in Milwaukee, the group’s spokesperson said. On August 4, McLean left the rehabilitation center where he had been staying since early July, and moved to a “transitional care” facility in Los Angeles, according to the Backstreet Boys’ publicists. When BSB first announced McLean’s problems, they said they would resume their tour August 7. McLean has extended his time in rehabilitation for two weeks, forcing the teen-pop phenomena to postpone their North American tour for a second time, the group’s members said on Tuesday. McLean, 23, is in a 30-day treatment program for alcoholism, depression and other problems, and the group was set to return to the road next Tuesday. Portland, Ore.-based MeasureCast today announced that total time spent listening (TTSL) to Internet radio stations measured by MeasureCast during the week of July 16-22 was down slightly compared to the previous week, causing the weekly MeasureCast Internet Radio Index‘ to drop five percent from 198 to 189. MeasureCast reports that 11 of the MeasureCast Top 25 stations streamed more than they did the previous week. Virgin Radio and ESPN Radio saw substantial increases in TTSL (up 23 percent and 16 percent respectively). Moreover, 16 of the top 25 stations experienced an increase in estimated cume.
