Britney, Beyonce Power Soundtrack


Britney Spears’ next single “Boys,” from her latest album Britney, will do double duty as one of the upcoming singles from the soundtrack to Austin Powers in Goldmember. The soundtrack version, however, will be an exclusive remix of the track by the ubiquitous production duo, the Neptunes, who worked on Britney as well. The “Boys” remix is tentatively set as the second single from the soundtrack. Beyonce Knowles’ “Work It Out” is expected to be the first single and will hit radio in early June. Jimmy Eat World Plan Headlining Tour, Live DVD


After finishing their opening slot on the Green Day/Blink-182 Pop Disaster tour, Jimmy Eat World will embark on another trek, this time with their own name atop the marquee. The Mesa, Arizona, quartet will launch a headlining tour July 16 in Columbus, Ohio, according to their publicist. Eleven dates follow, and then it’s off to Europe for a few weeks of shows and festivals that culminate in the U.K. Reading and Leeds festivals on August 24 and 25. Jimmy Eat World Headlining Dates Surface


The pieces of Jimmy Eat World’s summer headlining tour are starting to come together, if very slowly, with eight new shows being scheduled over the next three months. Dates take the Arizona group to Canada, the Midwest, and Northeast, the earliest of these being June 19 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, according to the group’s website (jimmyeatworld.com). Opening acts will include the Promise Ring, Recover, and Desaparecidos. Collarbone, Not Spirit, Broken As Jewel Resumes Tour Early


Her collarbone may be broken, but her spirit seems barely bruised, given Jewel’s plans to resume touring earlier than expected. She’ll return to the stage Monday for shows that looked as though they wouldn’t happen after she fell from a horse on April 24, according to an Atlantic Records spokesperson. Doctors had suggested she not perform for at least a month. The singer’s first day back in the saddle, so to speak, will be May 13 in Stuttgart, Germany. Get Up Kids Set Up Two-Month Trek


The Get Up Kids are set to release their third album and will hit the road to support it beginning May 24. The 12-track On a Wire is scheduled for release May 14, according to a Vagrant Records spokesperson. “Overdue” will be the leadoff single from the LP, which was produced by Scott Litt (Incubus, R.E.M.). Butch Walker Completes 'Left of Self-Centered,' Set for Late-Spring Release


Arista recording artist Butch Walker hits the road in advance of the release of his debut solo album later this spring, “LEFT OF SELF-CENTERED,” as he plays a series of solo warm-up dates in Chicago and his hometown Atlanta prior to heading out for a month of shows with Lit, it was announced today by Antonio “L.A.” Reid, President and CEO, Arista Records. N.E.R.D. Lay Down Tour Dates, Despite Earlier Pledge To Stay Off Road


There’s no money like show money – just ask your favorite performer. Where else can you make tens of thousands of dollars for 90 minutes (or less) of work? Apparently somebody has hipped the guys of N.E.R.D. to this and they have decided to go out on the road in support of their LP, In Search Of…, for 12 dates this spring. Goo Goo Dolls Map Out Tour


Starting next month, the Goo Goo Dolls will take their gig out of the gutter. Fresh off of their top five debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart, on which the band’s latest effort, Gutterflower, entered at #4 with over 100,000 copies sold, the Goo Goo Dolls will go on a 30-date tour in support of the LP. Queens Of The Stone Age (With Dave Grohl) Line Up Tour


While their new album remains months away, Queens of the Stone Age are preparing to hit the highway to test drive some new material, and they’re taking Dave Grohl along for the ride. Eagles Confirm 31-Date Summer Tour


As first reported here last week, the Eagles will kick off their first North American tour in seven years May 31 in Reno, Nev.
