If music can be a great escape from the cares of the day, whatever they be, then Blink-182’s fun show on Wednesday, rescheduled from a week earlier in light of recent events, was a perfect getaway. The San Diego pop-punk trio discharged their usual output of between-song locker room comments, and their three-minute tunes, which generally address little more than the standard teen concerns (first dates, school, loneliness), were all delivered with the players’ trademark sense of humor still very much intact. Blink-182 Reschedules Two So Cal Shows


Blink-182 has rescheduled two Southern California shows that where postponed earlier this week due to the terrorist attacks on the East Coast. The group will perform at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim on Sunday (September 16) and at the Long Beach Arena next Wednesday (September 19). The Anaheim show was originally scheduled for September 13 while the Long Beach show was to take place the previous night (September 12). Shows in Phoenix tonight (September 14); Chula Vista, California Saturday (September 15); and at the Oklahoma State Fair in Oklahoma City on Monday (September 17) remain as scheduled. STP Make Surprise Appearance At Weenie Roast


This ninth edition of the KROQ Weenie Roast, which saw the annual all-day charity festival return to its traditional Irvine home after it was held in Anaheim last year, was largely divided into distinct segments representing two contrasting sides of modern rock music. 311, Rancid, Pennywise To Open Warped Tour


Rancid, 311, and Pennywise will help kick off the 2001 model of the Vans Warped Tour Friday (June 22) in Phoenix. Other acts featured on the seventh edition of the venerable punk tour include Alien Ant Farm, Fenix TX, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, New Found Glory, radical country act Hank 3 & Assjack, and rapper Kool Keith. Warped Tour Bands, Dates Confirmed


Rancid, Weezer, 311, Kool Keith, Pennywise, Rollins Band, and the Misfits are some of the bigger artists confirmed to play the annual Vans Warped Tour, set to kick off June 22 in Phoenix.
