From jeans to suits, the red carpet at the 20th Annual MTV Video Music Awards was a fashionista’s dream – or nightmare. Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons showed up Thursday night in a pink suit, as did Dre of Outkast. Rapper 50 Cent wore a gray suit accessorized with a diamond necklace – and actress Vivica A. Blige to Perform at MTV Music Awards


Mary J. Blige is the latest addition to the performance lineup for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. The Aug. 28 event at New York’s Radio City Music Hall will also feature 50 Cent, Good Charlotte, Coldplay and Christina Aguilera. Chris Rock Will Return to Host MTV Awards


Chris Rock will be back as host of the MTV Video Music Awards, the cable channel announced Wednesday. But he acknowledges that his stand-up skills are a little rusty. Photographer/ Video Director Herb Ritts Dies At Age 50


Celebrity photographer Herb Ritts, who directed videos for Madonna, ‘NSYNC, Britney Spears and others, died Thursday morning of complications from pneumonia. He was 50. Eminem Dominates MTV Europe Awards


Eminem topped the fan-voted MTV Europe Music Awards Thursday night (Nov. 14) at Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi, with three honors. The rapper/actor took trophies for best album for his Shady/Interscope set “The Eminem Show,” best hip-hop artist, and best male, the latter delivered by actor Pierce Brosnan. Kylie Minogue, Linkin Park, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers each won two awards. Eminem Wins Big at MTV Awards


Rapper Eminem walked off with four MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, including one for Video of the Year, in a show bookended by rousing performances by Bruce Springsteen and a rare appearance by heavy metal rockers Guns N’ Roses. Eminem ( news – web sites)’s “Without Me” and Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott’s “One Minute Man” topped the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards nominations list Monday, nabbing six apiece.
