Revolution Rolls With Skater Hawk


Revolution Studios has acquired an untitled comedy pitch that will star Tony Hawk, arguably the most influential skateboarder of all time. Hawk will also executive produce the project alongside producers Mark Ciardi, Gordon Gray, Ed Decter and John Strauss, the quartet behind Revolution’s upcoming Decter-directed feature “The New Guy,” which features Hawk playing himself. The pitch’s plot, to be written by Ralph Sall, is being closely guarded but is said to center on a road trip and will showcase Hawk’s skateboarding abilities in the hopes of bringing in an extreme-sports audience. NSYNC Drops Jackson Tribute For VMA


*NSYNC will not be performing at the all-star salute to Michael Jackson due to scheduling conflicts, according to the event’s producer David Gest. The pop group was originally scheduled to perform with Jackson on September 7, but Gest released a statement today (August 22) in which he explained: “Michael Jackson and *NSYNC will not have time to rehearse the ‘Dancing Machine’ number with the Jacksons in the way Michael planned to present it. Destiny's Child Nets Over 1700 Meals For The Greater Boston Food Bank


Destiny’s Child, one of the best-selling female musical groups in the world, appeared at the Arsenal Mall in Watertown on Friday, August 10th in a WBOT Hot 97.7 Radio -sponsored benefit for The Greater Boston Food Bank. Band members Beyonce, Kelly, and Michelle signed autographs for hundreds of fans who brought canned goods and cash donations for The Greater Boston Food Bank. Incubus will release their fourth album, Morning View, on October 23rd. Universal Records rap star NELLY’s award-winning debut album, “Country Grammar” has just been certified seven-times-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), signifying sales of more than seven million copies. Australian Rockers INXS Struggle Without Singer


For the first time in almost four years, one of Australia’s most successful rock bands, INXS, is playing a few shows in North America. Eminem Disses Limp Bizkit Members On D12 Album


The Eminem/Everlast feud has expanded to include Eminem’s one-time friends Fred Durst and DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit. Eminem has some choice and predictably profane words for the pair on “Girls,” a track from the group D12’s forthcoming Devil’s Night.
