Aerosmith to Headline Super Bowl XXXVIII Pregame Show


Aerosmith, will headline the Super Bowl XXXVIII pre-game show at Reliant Stadium in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 1, the NFL announced today. Super Bowl XXXVIII will be televised by CBS to an expected 130 million viewers in the United States and a potential worldwide audience of 1 billion viewers. Britney Spears insists she is role model for young girls despite recent revealing magazine covers and her new album with sexually explicit lyrics, the British Broadcasting Corp. said Sunday. Verizon, Puddle of Mudd Make a Splash


Verizon Wireless is taking tour sponsorship into the digital world in partnership with rock band Puddle of Mudd. The idea is to entice the band’s fans to use new technology through a package of competitions, promotions and advertising, all leading up to the Nov. 25 release of its sophomore album, “Life on Display.” The band’s 2001 Interscope Records debut, “Come Clean,” has sold more than 5 million copies and won four Billboard Music Awards. Simple Plan Readying 'Big Package' DVD/EP


Canadian rockers Simple Plan will release their new DVD/EP titled A Big Package For You on November 25. The three-hour DVD contains footage of the band shot over the last three years, including backstage footage, bloopers, outtakes, live performances, and interviews. The package is accompanied by a bonus EP, which contains the newly recorded song “Crash & Burn,” as well as two previously unreleased live songs from their September 2003 MTV Hard Rock Live performance. A spokeswoman for Maryland’s first lady said the governor’s wife made “an inadvertent figure of speech” when she spoke at a domestic violence prevention conference of shooting pop singer Britney Spears. Arista recording artist P!nk is in the final stages of completing her hotly expected third album, entitled TRY THIS – in stores November 11th, it was announced today by Antonio “L.A.” Reid, president and CEO, Arista Records. Madonna to Guest on Spears Track


Madonna will appear on “Me Against the Music,” the first single from Britney Spears’ new album, “Get in the Zone,” out Nov. 18 on Jive. According to sources, the pair decided to collaborate as they were prepping their Aug. 28 MTV Video Music Awards appearance with Christina Aguilera. They then clearly sealed the deal with a kiss on the lips during their performance. The single, which was co-written by Spears, goes to radio Sept. 30. The video will debut Oct. 13 on MTV.
