Maroon 5 expands new album with DVD, B-sides


Maroon 5’s 2007 album, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long,” will be reissued in expanded form July 8. The A&M/Octone package will include a bonus DVD with four music videos and a full concert shot last year in Montreal. In addition, the original CD is bolstered with five B-sides: “Infatuation,” “Miss You Love You,” “Until You’re Over Me,” “Story” and “Losing My Mind.” Also tacked onto the track list is “If I Never See Your Face Again,” Maroon 5’s new single featuring Rihanna. Live Nation, Maroon 5 Ink for the Long Run


Live Nation is now in the live Maroon 5 business. And not just for one tour. Billboard has learned that the promoter has not only cut a deal to produce rock act Maroon 5’s 28-city fall arena tour, but both parties have also committed to a full-blown Live Nation amphitheater tour for summer 2008. Maroon 5 will play at least 60 shows under the Live Nation banner by the end of next year. Maroon 5 Label Shifts to Universal, CD Due


Formerly affiliated with Sony BMG, New York-based Octone Records is shifting to the Universal Music Group and will be re-branded A&M/Octone. The new label’s first release will be the follow-up to Maroon 5’s debut album, “Songs About Jane,” which has sold 4.3 million units in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. A release date has not yet been announced, although it is expected to be in May. Honda Civic Tour dates, according to the tour’s organizers: – With Phantom Planet, the Thrills and the Donnas as their co-pilots, Maroon 5 will hit the road for two months on the fifth annual 2005 Honda Civic Tour.
