Lars Talks Rancid, Warped


To Lars Frederiksen, his band Rancid, his label-mates on Epitaph and Hell-Cat Records, and his favorite bands are all about being part of a family – a punk rock family. EMI/Capitol Records To Release Five Pet Shop Boys Albums


To commemorate their 20th anniversary, Pet Shop Boys will reissue five of their original studio albums – “Please,” “Actually,” “Introspective,” “Behaviour” and “Very” – on July 3, 2001. Each has been re-mastered and will be accompanied by a bonus CD in a custom slipcase. For the five bonus CDs, each titled “Further Listening,” the British duo have compiled a compelling selection of mixes, hits, previously unheard versions and b-sides that, together with the re-mastered studio albums, documents their career from 1984 until 1994. Jane's Addiction Tour Will Likely Be Part Of Festival


Jane’s Addiction are finalizing plans for a summer reunion tour, which looks to be part of a roving festival frontman Perry Farrell is organizing. “We’re going to be taking out a show. It’s probably going to have different influences coming together and creating an ensemble,” Jane’s guitarist Dave Navarro said, “more like a traveling circus – whereas in most circuses there isn’t much of a headliner, but there’s a lot of things. Weezer Go Green – "The Green Album" Due May 15th


Following much hemming and boatload of hawing, all is set in stone for Weezer’s many-moons-in-the-making third album. Produced by Ric Ocasek, The Green Album will drop as planned on May 15th, it’s cover art closely resembling that of the band’s eponymous debut (lovingly called “The Blue Album”) – a picture of the foursome against a solid backdrop. The nod to their 1994 nerd-core breakthrough is no doubt intentional, a clear signal that Rivers Cuomo and Co. have returned, at least in part, to the signature neo-New Wave sound somewhat absent from 1996’s poorer-selling second album, Pinkerton.
