Linkin Park Piecing Together Projekt Revolution Tour For January


Linkin Park has signed Adema, Cypress Hill, and Z-Trip for its Projekt Revolution Tour. The package tour is set to begin in January and run through February, possibly going into March. Dates for the tour haven’t been released. The tour will support the band’s recently released home video, Frat Party At the Pankake Festival, and its quadruple-platinum debut album, Hybrid Theory. Linkin Park's New 'Revolution' Begins In January


While the clock on Linkin Park’s Countdown to Revolution Tour is just about done ticking, the band is already lining up a new trek. The Projekt Revolution Tour, much like Linkin Park themselves, meshes rock and rap, with herbivores Cypress Hill, nü-metallers Adema and DJ Z-Trip slated to join the band on the bill, according to Linkin Park’s management. Linkin Park Planning Projekt Revolution Tour, Remix Album


Linkin Park is in the process of organizing its own headlining tour, the first Projekt Revolution Tour, tentatively set for January of 2002. Linkin Park VHS/DVD To Be Released November 20


Linkin Park has had a monster 2001, and the band will top the year by giving fans a DVD titled Linkin Park: Frat Party At The Pankake Festival. The release, due November 20, follows in the footsteps of two top five Modern Rock singles “One Step Closer” and “Crawling,” plus the quadruple-platinum album Hybrid Theory. Linkin Park Goes Triple-Platinum


Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory has been certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America for sales of 3 million copies. Meanwhile, “In The End,” the third single from Hybrid Theory, is poised to break big. The band’s first two singles, “One Step Closer” and “Crawling,” have already become staples on modern rock radio. Linkin Park is teaming up with turntable masters the X-ecutioners both in the studio and the live setting. The pairing will first be witnessed on a nationally televised performance of Linkin Park’s “One Step Closer” on the 2001 MTV Music Video Awards September 6. Linkin Park's Bennington Suffering From Bite


Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington will seek treatment for a poisonous spider bite he received on August 8 at a hotel in the Boston area (Mansfield, Massachusetts) while on OzzFest tour. A portion of Bennington’s arm has swelled, and he was running a fever, but he did manage to complete the two remaining OzzFest shows at PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey over the weekend (August 11 and 12). Linkin Park took some time off in between OzzFest dates to lens the video for its next single, “In The End” last week. DJ Joseph Hahn and Nathan Cox co-produced the clip, which was shot in Culver City, California. It depicts the band playing in a desert, which comes to life as the video progresses. Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Staind, Linkin Park Among RIAA'S June Gold & Platinum Certifications


While living legends Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton earned their 21st gold certifications this month, younger acts, including Staind, Linkin Park, and Nelly Furtado, picked up their first platinum and multi-platinum albums, according to the RIAA’s June certifications list. McCartney’s latest gold (for 500,000 copies sold) record, as well as platinum (for 1 million sold) and double platinum, is for his Wings retrospective, Wingspan: Hits and History. Linkin Park To Join STP, Staind On Family Values


Eerie rap-metal sextet Linkin Park will join Stone Temple Pilots and angst-ridden hitmakers Staind on the third edition of Family Values this fall. “As it stands right now, it’ll be Stone Temple Pilots, with us playing before them and Linkin Park playing before us, and then two unknown bands that I’m sure will rock also,” Staind frontman Aaron Lewis said.
