Spokesperson: Moss, Doherty Not Married


A spokesman for Kate Moss denied reports the supermodel and rocker Pete Doherty had tied the knot during a candlelit Buddhist ceremony in Thailand on New Year’s Day. Stuart Higgins said Moss, 32, was vacationing in Thailand, but hadn’t married Doherty, frontman for Babyshambles. “There has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday,” Higgins said. British newspapers reported that Moss and Doherty had held the ceremony in the Thai resort of Phuket. Soundscan Reports U.S. Music Sales Rose in January


U.S. album sales rose 10.4 percent in the first month of 2004, Nielsen Soundscan reported, welcome news to the music industry after a three-year slump marked by costly litigation, rampant piracy and consolidation.
