The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences has made changes in voting categories for next year’s 46th annual Grammy Awards, including the establishment of a best rap song Grammy. Look for the next Grammy Awards and the American Music Awards (AMAs) to move from their traditional annual calendar slots. For 2004, the Grammys are switching from their usual late-February date to Sunday, Feb. 8, sources tell Billboard. The move is taking place to avoid a head-on collision with the Academy Awards, which will be moved next year from their usual late-March perch to late February. They may have both won Grammy Awards but the editors at People magazine say that India.Arie and Kelly Rowland were big losers when it came to fashion. The magazine’s website list what it considers some of the fashion faux pas at the awards show, and Arie and Rowland didn’t make the cut. The magazine says it liked Arie’s haircut but her outfit needed improvement. Rowland’s outfit left much to be desired as well, according to the editors. Bee Gees Barry and Robin Gibb received an honorary Grammy Award Sunday night without their brother, Maurice, who died last month.
