Ga. Police Search for Jagged Edge Member

DeKalb County authorities say they are looking for a member of the platinum-selling R&B group Jagged Edge after they found two guns, 13 pounds of marijuana and about $6,000 in the singer’s home. Deputies searched Kyle Norman’s Decatur home Thursday morning and reported finding the drugs, cash, a 9 mm handgun and an InterTec.45-caliber handgun. Deputies arrested seven men who were inside the home. They did not find 27-year-old Norman. “We want him to know that we are looking for him,” said Mikki Jones, spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department. MTV's Red Carpet Attracts Many Styles

From jeans to suits, the red carpet at the 20th Annual MTV Video Music Awards was a fashionista’s dream – or nightmare. Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons showed up Thursday night in a pink suit, as did Dre of Outkast. Rapper 50 Cent wore a gray suit accessorized with a diamond necklace – and actress Vivica A. Fox, in a flesh-baring short gray dress. They were the subtle ones. Christina Aguilera’s dress was covered with pink feathers, while Mya wore short, tight black patent leather and lace. Singer Tweet had on black and white over-the-knee leather boots and a dress made… Read more »

All-American Rejects Make 'Time Stand Still' With New Single

Subtlety is not a trademark for the All-American Rejects, but neither is specificity. Most of the band’s songs address bad relationships and broken hearts, but details of the scarring experiences are often missing. On the group’s next single, vocalist Tyson Ritter sings, “Life is turned, the day I knew you would leave/ I can barely breathe/ Can you hear me scream?” That’s about as close as the Rejects get to confessional revelation. So what exactly is the tune about? “It’s about 96-beats-per-minute and it’s in the key of C major,” quipped bassist Nick Wheeler in a most unhelpful manner. “It’s… Read more »

It looks like Eminem’s finally planning to stand up to his old schoolyard tormentor-in court. Eminem, born Marshall Mathers III, is expected to appear in Macomb County Circuit Court before Judge Deborah Servitto on August 18 to ask her to toss the suit filed in 2001 by DeAngelo Bailey. Bailey’s seeking $1 million for the injury he claims to have sustained to his reputation when… Read more »

Bowling Make Soup From Blink-182, Sum 41, Good Charlotte

Being nominated for a Grammy hasn’t changed the boys of Bowling for Soup. At all. The pop-punk foursome are up to their old tricks on a just reissued version of their 2002 breakthrough, Drunk Enough to Dance. The album, which spawned the Best Pop Performance Grammy-nominated single “Girl All the Bad Guys Want” and sold nearly 200,000 copies, has been augmented with a typically tongue-in-cheek take on A Flock of Seagulls’ new wave staple “I Ran (So Far Away)” as well as the new tracks “Punk Rock 101” and “Star Song.” “We thought we were working on the follow-up to… Read more »
