The U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way on Monday for civil rights icon Rosa Parks to proceed with her lawsuit against OutKast and others over the rap music duo’s hit song with her name as its title. Composer Who Worked With Metallica, Aerosmith Dead At 55


Composer, conductor and arranger Michael Kamen, who led the San Francisco Symphony in its collaboration with Metallica for the band’s 1999 S&M album, died at home in London of an apparent heart attack Tuesday (November 18), according to his publicist. He was 55. Known for being something of a rock and roll classicist, in 1974 Kamen served as musical director for David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs tour, and he’s worked on orchestrations for Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Queen, Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan. Meat Loaf Collapses on London Stage


Grammy-winning singer Meat Loaf, who collapsed on stage during a concert, is being treated for exhaustion brought on by a virus, hospital officials said Tuesday. A spokesman for Mercury, the singer’s record company, said a second concert planned for Tuesday night at London’s Wembley Arena had been postponed. Handwritten Lennon Lyrics to Be Auctioned in NYC


A range of entertainment industry memorabilia – including John Lennon’s handwritten lyrics for “Nowhere Man” – will be auctioned next week, auction organizers said on Friday. Producer Says Destiny's Child Stole Song


A 32-year-old producer has filed a $200 million lawsuit against Beyonce Knowles, her father and fellow members of Destiny’s Child, alleging they stole his music for the hit song “Survivor.” Terrence “T-Robb” Robinson, a Miami-based producer, claims he produced a song called “Glorious” in June 2000 and provided it to Mathew Knowles, Beyonce’s father and manager, later that year. Robert Palmer, the well-tailored British rock singer who created one of the first iconic music videos with the look-alike models of “Addicted to Love,” has died of a heart attack. He was 54.
