Christina Aguilera And Jimmy Smits To Co-Host 2nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards


Grammy-winning artist Christina Aguilera and Emmy Award-winning actor Jimmy Smits will co-host the 2nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards telecast. Grammy Chief Feels 'Betrayed' By Miami Leaders


Grammy chief Michael Greene said in published remarks on Friday he feels “betrayed” by Miami’s civic leaders over the hostile political climate that prompted him to pull the Latin Grammy Awards show out of that city. Fear that Cuban-American protesters would threaten the safety of guests at the Latin Grammys next month prompted organizers to pull the event from Miami at the last minute and move it to Los Angeles. Colombian rock artist Juanes was nominatedTuesday for six Latin Grammy awards, including record of the year, album of the year, song of the year and best new artist, the Latin Recording Academy announced. Two Rap Awards Added To Grammys


Two additional Grammy Awards in the rap field will be presented next year. The Grammys have announced additional performers for the awards ceremony.
