Crows Set Fall Tour


The Counting Crows will road test material from their upcoming record when they head out on a thirty-four-date tour later this month. The road trip kicks off on August 18th in Englewood, Colorado and wraps up in Lawrence, Kansas on November 7th. Meanwhile, the Crows will continue working on their follow-up to 1999’s This Desert Life, due out next spring. The band has been working on the project in Hollywood with various producers, including Steve Lillywhite, Ethan Johns and Eric Valentine, and former Whiskeytown frontman Ryan Adams will guest on the album. Sears And Brian McKnight Announce Partnership For Fall Tour


Brian McKnight has been tapped to join the Sears, Roebuck and Co. family for a nationwide tour that coincides with the release of McKnight’s latest Motown project, “superhero,” streeting Aug. 28. The “Sears Presents An Evening With Brian McKnight” tour kicks off in Cleveland on Sept. 19, with stops in 38 cities, wrapping up in Hawaii in December. On August 7 Jive Records will release Oh Aaron, the follow up album to Aaron Carter’s multiplatinum Aaron’s Party (Come Get It). While ‘N Sync’s third album, Celebrity, won’t be released until July 24th (long after their tour is underway), fans can get a taste of the first single tomorrow. MTV will preview the song “Pop” during Total Request Live, five days before it hits airwaves officially, and on May 28th the network will premiere the video. “Pop” was co-written and co-produced by Justin Timberlake and Wade Robson. ‘N Sync premiered ‘BIGGER THAN LIVE’, the giant screen version of the group’s ‘No Strings Attached’ tour at the IMAX theatre at LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA SCIENCE CENTRE yesterday (March 30). Coldplay Giving U.S. Another Shot


After cutting short a brief North American trek in February, Coldplay have announced plans to return to the States later this spring for a more extensive tour, set to kick off May 24 in Boston. The wistful Brit rock group has tapped Modesto, California’s Grandaddy to serve as the supporting act on the tour, which includes appearances on May 27 and 28 at the HFS Festival in Washington, D.C., and a June 23 KROQ-sponsored show in Los Angeles, according to Coldplay’s label.
