Incubus Plans North American Tour


Modern rock act Incubus will kick off a North American tour April 11 in Portland, Ore., in support of its latest Immortal/Epic set “Morning View.” The 50-date tour will be sponsored by Honda Civic, which put Blink-182 and Everclear out on the road last year on separate tours. Universal settles Calif. lawsuit with performers


A Los Angeles judge has tentatively approved a deal requiring record giant Universal Music to pay $4.75 million in back royalties to as many as 300 performers to settle a class-action lawsuit led by torch singer Peggy Lee, court papers showed Wednesday. Lee, 81, was the lead plaintiff in the two-year court case that claimed that Universal, a unit of Vivendi Universal, failed to pay her and other artists – many of whom are now dead – millions of dollars by underreporting sales figures and overcharging for services. R. Kelly’s “The World’s Greatest” entered Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart last week at Number 75. The song is the first single from Ali, The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, out today (November 27), which also features songs from Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Angie Stone, and Everlast. R. Lenny Kravitz Buys Miami Mansion


Lenny Kravitz has purchased a Miami-area estate for $9 million, one of the largest price tags ever for a home in the area, according to the Miami Herald. The nine-bedroom Mediterranean mansion, on the waterfront in the exclusive Sunset Island neighborhood, boasts an 1,800 square-foot master suite, Turkish bath, home theater with stadium seating, recording studio, and a three-story guest cabana. Latin Stars Record Tribute To Attack Victims


Stars of the Latin pop music world have gathered in a Miami music studio to record a song to raise money for families of the victims of the attacks on the United States. The song, called “El Ultimo Adios” (The Last Goodbye), was written by producer Emilio Estefan and Gian Marco.
