During the 67th Grammy Awards ceremony, history was made on and off the official February 2 evening broadcast. Of course, Beyonce notably won Album Of The Year with Cowboy Carter and also became the first Black performer to win Best Country Album at the show. Plus, Doechii became the third woman ever to win Best Rap Album. Alongside these mainstream artist wins, the alternative community was eager to see which of their faves would take home a Grammy. One of idobi Radio’s most-anticipated albums of 2025 has officially dropped: L.S. Dunes‘ Violet. After releasing singles such as “Fatal Deluxe,” “Paper Tigers,” “Violet,” and “Machines,” the band’s second studio LP, preceded by debut album Past Lives, is available now via Fantasy Records. On January 30, many streaming services streamed a very special FireAid LA Benefit Concert with a star-studded lineup to raise money to rebuild communities devastated by the wildfires. Broadcast from both the Kia Forum and the Intuit Dome, performers included the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish all the way to Green Day, No Doubt, and a surprise Nirvana tribute. Surviving members Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and Dave Grohl were all in attendance. Bad Suns is back with their first new music of 2025 and it is an indie dream come true. “Communicating” and its accompanying music video are preceded by the band’s “Lovefool” cover released in October 2024 as well as their 2023 EP Infinite Joy. In fact, the music video has officially crossed the one billion views mark on YouTube. This is their second music video to hit this milestone. Earlier in January, the streaming giant revealed that the series will return for its fifth and final season on April 24, 2025.
