Ja Rule knows what it’s like to be in the shoes of Ashanti, his Murder Inc. labelmate and “Always on Time” co-star. But keeping the songs coming that help his star hover in the stratosphere is the least of his worries. Lately he’s been feeling some heat from below the heavens. “I’ve rethought a lot of things,” he said Tuesday about his work in progress, The Last Temptation. “I have… Read more »

Jones’ manager confirmed the suit, but couldn’t provide further details, and Page’s and Plant’s management refused to comment. Former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones couldn’t get back into the studio for several years after bandmate John Bonham died. “The rug was pulled out from under your feet,” Jones told The Arizona Republic in Sunday’s editions. “Apart from losing a very close friend and a great musician, I didn’t know what to do for a while.” In addition, Jones, 56, didn’t want to deal with the comparisons to Led Zeppelin, the rock group that churned out such classic hits as “Black Dog,” “Kashmir” and “Stairway to Heaven.” “I’d been in the best band in the world, so I… Read more »
