Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough’s fourth annual Lupus benefit concert, Lupus 2003, takes place Friday (June 20), at Hard Rock Live located at Universal Studios City Walk in Orlando, Florida. The Warped Tour kicked off in Boise, Idaho at the Idaho Center Amphitheater on Thursday (June 19), playing to 10,000 fans. The festival opened at noon with a mad rush of vendors and fans to claim spots, akin to the Oklahoma land rush. The performances began at 12:30 p.m. with 2 Cents on the mainstage, and continued through closing act Face To Face, which went on at about 10:00 pm. Britney Spears, Kevin Costner and Halle Berry are getting stars on Hollywood’s celebrated Walk of Fame. Glenn Close, Anthony Hopkins, John Singleton, Ted Turner, Journey and 17-year-old twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will also get the sidewalk honor next year. Mary Bono, who is forming a new congressional caucus on music piracy and copyrights, sought Monday to defuse speculation over whether she wants to run the music industry’s lobbying organization in Washington, saying she isn’t actively seeking the job. Eighties new wave star Adam Ant was arrested for suspicion of criminal damage in London on Wednesday for allegedly hurling rocks through a neighbor?s windows. Ant, 49, whose real name is Stuart Leslie Goddard, was arrested and then booked at the Central London police station on Wednesday morning, according to a Scotland Yard spokesperson. The spokesperson said a 49-year-old man was questioned and released on bail, although Ant was not named, per British police protocol. He was ordered to report back in July for a hearing.
