The Vans Warped Tour has officially announced the lineup and itinerary for the 11th annual edition of the punk/skating tour. As previously reported by MTV News, the bill for the oldest touring festival in the U.S. will be topped by the Offspring and My Chemical Romance, along with the Transplants, MxPx, All-American Rejects, Dropkick Murphys, Thrice, Atreyu and Senses Fail. Los Angeles – Bail was reduced for a longtime sound engineer of the late Ray Charles following his arrest two weeks ago on allegations of stealing the singer’s master recordings, authorities said. Terry Howard, 48, of Burbank is charged with two counts of grand theft by embezzlement from Ray Charles Enterprises and one count of receiving stolen property. At a hearing Tuesday, Superior Court Commissioner Dennis Mulcahy said Howard had no prior record and reduced bail from $1 million to $100,000. New York – It looks like music retailers will soon be getting their wish: At least one major is getting aggressive with copy-protected CDs. Sony BMG Music Entertainment is stepping up the rollout of what it calls content-enhanced and copy-protected CDs, according to company executives. It began with the Chieftains’ “Live From Dublin” album, released Feb. 22. Upcoming albums that will receive the treatment are from Kasabian (March 8) and Susie Suh (March 29). MONTEREY, Calif. – U2 frontman and global activist Bono targeted worldwide poverty in his wishes as he was a recipient of the inaugural TED Prize from the Technology, Entertainment, Design conference.
