Jonas Brothers Ink Reality Series


The Disney Channel has green-lighted a reality series centering on the pop-rock band the Jonas Brothers. The series, which is shooting under the working title “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream,” will follow the on- and off-stage lives of the platinum-selling trio — Kevin, 20; Joe, 18; and Nick, 15 — on their current Look Me in the Eyes tour. “Dream” will get up close and personal with the brothers as they rehearse, travel on the tour bus and perform. Student record label finding its groove


When the Redwalls recently performed on David Letterman’s “Late Show,” it wasn’t just a boost for the indie rock band trying to make a name for itself. It was also a point of pride for the band’s label – student-run MAD Dragon Records at Drexel University. “Everyone around the country could see something that we were working on,” said junior Amanda Melczer, 20. Sci-fi guru Arthur C. Clarke dies at 90


Arthur C. Clarke, a visionary science fiction writer who won worldwide acclaim with more than 100 books on space, science and the future, died Wednesday in his adopted home of Sri Lanka, an aide said. He was 90. Clarke, who had battled debilitating post-polio syndrome since the 1960s and sometimes used a wheelchair, died at 1:30 a.m. local time after suffering breathing problems, aide Rohan De Silva told The Associated Press. Avril Lavigne to launch fashion line


Avril Lavigne, known for her pairing of frilly dresses and combat boots, will bring her style to the juniors department at Kohl’s department stores. The edgy, pop-rock star’s clothing line “Abbey Dawn” was named after her childhood nickname. “I actually am the designer,” she told Newsweek for editions on newsstands Monday. “I try everything on and approve it all.” She joined a long line of celeb-turned-designers, including Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson. Lavigne kicked off her 2008 world tour in Victoria, B.C., Canada, earlier this month.

The Game Goes to Jail


The Game is in the clink. The “How We Do” hip-hopster reported to Los Angeles’ Twin Towers Correctional Facility Sunday night to begin serving a 60-day sentence after pleading no contest last month to whipping out a gun during a schoolyard pickup basketball game last February. According to TMZ, The Game will do his time in the joint in an isolated cell segregated from the general prison population. He is expected to serve only about half of his sentence and is currently slated to be released on Apr. 3, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website. New Nine Inch Nails Album Hits The Web


As expected, Nine Inch Nails is utilizing the Internet to disseminate its new instrumental album, “Ghosts I-IV,” which went live at 9 p.m. ET tonight (March 2) via the Trent Reznor-led group’s Web site. “Ghosts” will also see physical release via RED Distribution on April 8, Billboard has learned. Juvenile's Daughter Murdered


Juvenile is in mourning. A teenage gunman shot and killed the New Orleans rapper’s infant daughter Thursday along with her Sheriff’s Deputy mother and older sister in their Lawrenceville, Georgia home, authorities have confirmed. The victims–39-year-old Joy Deleston and her two daughters, 11-year-old Micaiah, and 4-year-old Jelani–were gunned down by Deleston’s 17-year-old son, Anthony Tyrone Terrell. Jelani was the daughter of Juvenile. J. Lo's twins named Max and Emme


Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have reportedly named their newborn twins Max and Emme. Lopez’ manager, Simon Fields, confirmed the babies’ names to People magazine on Friday. The twins were born at a Long Island hospital on Feb. 22, with 5-pound, 7-ounce Emme arriving about 15 minutes before her 6-pound brother. The hospital’s name was not disclosed. Fields said then that Lopez, a first-time mother at 39, was “thrilled” at the babies’ arrival. The 38-year-old Anthony has three other children. The Latin music power couple married in 2004.
