On the heels of the release of “Orlando In Love” last week, their first new single off the highly anticipated album For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)—slated for a March 21 release, Japanese Breakfast has unveiled the track’s official music video. Frontwoman Michelle Zauner (formerly of the emo outfit Little Big League) shares, “‘Orlando in Love’ is made up of a hodgepodge of odd references. The title comes from an epic poem by Matteo Maria Boiardo called Orlando Innamorato, which ends abruptly at 68.5 cantos because Italy was invaded by French troops, and that’s as far as he got before… Read more »
Over the past 24 hours, with a TikTok ban presumably looming on January 19 in the United States, users and creators across the platform have begun turning their attention to and rallying behind Xiaohongshu, a Chinese-developed app also referred to as “REDnote” (and which translates to “little red book”). This sudden spotlight has propelled Xiaohongshu to the No. 1 spot in the Apple App Store’s free social networking category. For those looking for a new app outside of the Meta-verse to build community, downloading REDnote is simple. Open the Apple app store or Google Play app store, search for “rednote,”… Read more »

While no song titles were revealed, X marks seem to indicate that most, if not all, of the rhythm guitar, bass, and strings have been tracked. The photo caption reads, “Stay tuned.” And fans in the comments are absolutely ready for whenever more info drops. “13 songs we are so back,” one Instagram user commented. “Yellowcard full length album before GTA 6,” another said. It seems like Yellowcard is teasing new music, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. On January 7, the band took to Instagram and TikTok to share stories of what sounds like the recorded version of the track “Better Days,” which they debuted live in Glasgow. As It Is just dropped a new teaser video on Instagram and TikTok sharing that they’re releasing a new version of “Dial Tones.” This time, the Never Happy, Ever After track contains a mystery featured guest artist. The teaser video sees the song in its more mature form with refined pop-punk sonics—after all, it’s been an entire decade. (Insert crying emoji here.) Our best guess is that As It Is tapped Stand Atlantic to help refresh “Dial Tones” in 2025. In September 2024, Patty Walters joined Stand Atlantic onstage for a performance of “NOSE BLEED.” So, clearly, they were hanging… Read more »

The album is due out on August 8, 2025, and pre-orders will go live on Friday, January 10. In a recent Instagram post, the band shared, “Most bands don’t make it to their fourth album. Let alone without a label, management or the usual machinery needed to make records happen. So the fact that I’m able to say our new album ‘Everything’s On Fire But I’m Fine’ is coming on the 8th August 2025… Read more »
