While the clock on Linkin Park’s Countdown to Revolution Tour is just about done ticking, the band is already lining up a new trek. The Projekt Revolution Tour, much like Linkin Park themselves, meshes rock and rap, with herbivores Cypress Hill, nü-metallers Adema and DJ Z-Trip slated to join the band on the bill, according to Linkin Park’s management. There’s little cheer at the beginning of the holiday sales season. With the exception of the new releases and Christmas discs from Barbra Streisand and Mannheim Steamroller, every album in the top 50 had fewer sales in the week ending Dec. 2 than the week before, according to SoundScan figures issued Wednesday. Creed’s “Weathered” (Wind-Up) continues to hold the top spot with second-week sales of 417,000 units, a 53% drop. R&B songbird Toni Braxton gave birth to Denim Cole Braxton Lewis on Sunday (December 2) in Atlanta. The baby boy weighed in at five pounds, 12 ounces. The child was the first for Braxton and her husband, keyboardist Keri Lewis of Mint Condition. Braxton’s spokesman David Brokaw told AP, “Mom and baby are doing fine.” Braxton and Lewis married in Atlanta in April at a wedding attended by some 250 guests, including musicians Monica, Usher, Mack 10, Donell Jones, and T-Boz and Chilli of TLC.
