If Usher brought all the people on the road who have been talking about opening for his Evolution Tour, the poor dude would barely have any time to perform himself. Artists from Ludacris to Fabolous have all talked about taking the city-to-city jaunt with the singer this spring, but Friday he finally announced who will kick things off. Puddle of Mudd Singer Arrested


The lead singer of the rock group Puddle of Mudd was arrested for allegedly fighting with his fiancee. Wes Scantlin, 29, of Kansas City, Mo., and Michelle Rubin, 31, of Los Angeles, both were arrested Sunday for investigation of domestic violence and booked at the Ventura County jail. They were released after posting $20,000 bond each. Scantlin apparently was en route to shoot a music video when he began fighting with Rubin around 8:30 a.m. on the shoulder of Highway 126 in nearby Piru, authorities said. Tickets for former Beatle Paul McCartney’s first American tour in a decade sparked a stampede among fans on Saturday, selling out by telephone and Internet within 30 minutes of going on sale. 'N Sync's Bass in Talks for Space Trip


Lance Bass could be going from ‘N Sync to in space. The boy band member is negotiating to travel on a Russian rocket for a mission in November, according to MirCorp, the Amsterdam-based space travel company. Hip-O Records will on March 26 release “Nick Carter: Before The ‘Boys’ 1989-1993,” a collection of recordings made by the Backstreet Boys member before the boy band launched him to international fame. The 14-track set consists of recordings Carter made with his vocal teacher Mark Dye between the ages of 9 and 13. Ozzy Osbourne To Record Live Album, DVD At Budokan


Ozzy Osbourne, on his first tour of Japan in four years, will tape his performance Friday at Tokyo’s legendary Budokan Hall for a live album and DVD. Live at Budokan, a title most music fans associate with Cheap Trick’s bombastic 1979 live effort, is scheduled for a summer release.
