Incubus Line Up Tour Dates


Fresh off the 50-date Civic Tour 2002, Incubus have finalized plans for a new tour. Launching August 31 in Reno, Nevada, the Morning View fall tour will make stops throughout the U.S. and once in Canada, concluding in November. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks, and all dates and venues are subject to change. Nickelback's Chad Kroeger starts his own record label


Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger has started his own label and his first signing is Vancouver, Canada’s Theory of a Deadman. 604 Records is the new label founded by Chad and Jonathan Simkin. The debut release will be Theory of a Deadman’s self titled release on September 17. Theory of a Deadman recorded their debut at Vancouver’s Greenhouse Studios with Kroeger and Joey Moy (Nickelback, Default) co-producing. The first single “Nothing Could Come Between Us”, which goes to radio in late July. Linkin Park Master Reanimation But Kant Spell


Linkin Park’s Reanimation is one step closer to coming to life. The album, consisting mainly of new versions of tracks from the group’smultiplatinum 2000 debut, Hybrid Theory, has gone through the mastering stage, and a final track list has been settled upon, according to the band’s manager. The 20-track LP is due July 30. Linkin Park are the prototypical rap-rock hybrid (in fact, the group’s original name was Hybrid Theory), and Reanimation doesn’t do anything to change their stance on crossbreeding genres. While they’re not known for stepping up on soapboxes, Nickelback will include incisive commentary about domestic abuse alongside concert footage of the band in their next video, “Never Again.” Nickelback hope to augment the impact of hard-hitting lyrics – including “He’s drunk again, it’s time to fight/ She must have done something wrong tonight/ The living room becomes a boxing ring” – by filling the screen with captions delivering U.S. domestic violence statistics and slogans about spousal abuse. Rush Drummer Issues First Statement About 'Vapor Trails'


Rush drummer-lyricist Neil Peart hasn’t been giving interviews to promote the Canadian trio’s new album, Vapor Trails, because he doesn’t want to talk about the deaths of his wife and daughter, which sent the band into a five-year hiatus. Silverchair Cancels Concerts


The Australian rock trio Silverchair has canceled all their upcoming concerts because lead singer and guitarist Daniel Johns is suffering from a severe case of reactive arthritis. “I am truly sorry that I am not able to do the touring we had planned for so long,” the 23-year-old said in a statement released Friday. “I apologize for the inconvenience these cancellations will cause. Rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Bo Diddley was honored last week, alongside Chuck Berry and Little Richard, with BMI’s Icon Award for his “unique and indelible influence on generations of music.” Diddley also received an honor earlier this year when former Clash frontman Joe Strummer cited the legendary guitarist as his hero in Mojo magazine’s 100th issue.
