Ozzy: I Was Molested

The Prince of Darkness is opening up about his dark past. In a candid interview appearing Monday in London’s Daily Mirror, Ozzy Osbourne revealed that he was molested as an 11-year-old schoolboy while growing up in the working-class city of Birmingham, England. “I was sexually abused when I was a kid,” the heavy-metal icon told the Mirror. “Two boys used to wait for me to come after school. Then they would f-k around with me. They didn’t f-k me, but they messed around with me. “They would force me to drop my pants and all that s-t. They felt me… Read more »

Kelly Osbourne Enlists Matrix

While Kelly Osbourne is still in the early stages of working on her second album, the singer has tapped the Midas touch of the Matrix production team (Avril Lavigne, Liz Phair) to record a new track, “No Apologies,” for the set. “It’s basically about how I go through my life,” she says. “I make mistakes, I do what I do, and I don’t apologize for it because it’s part of growing up.” Osbourne is also hoping to work with another hit maker, former 4 Non Blondes frontwoman Linda Perry, who helped Pink pen songs from her multi-platinum Missundaztood. “I think… Read more »

For years, both onstage and on “The Osbournes,” we’ve witnessed legendary metal singer Ozzy Osbourne shake, stammer, stutter and shuffle around with a walk that grew increasingly hunched over and motor functions that only seemed to be getting worse. Speculation ran rampant. Were these maladies related to years of drug abuse dating back to the Black Sabbath days? Parkinson’s Disease? Muscular Dystrophy? The answer is, in fact, none of the above. Thanks to a Boston neurological specialist, Ozzy now knows the cause of the “shakes” that have plagued him for decades and with the help of a new medication, he’s… Read more »

Ozzy Osbourne Denied Hometown Honor

Ozzy Osbourne will not receive the Freedom Of Birmingham, the highest honor that can be awarded to a citizen of the British city, according to the icbirmingham.co.uk website. City Councillor Tony Kennedy led a campaign to bestow the award upon Ozzy by claiming that his battle to overcome drug and alcohol addiction could be a model for residents of the city. But other councillors shot the idea down, saying they wouldn’t vote for the heavy metal legend. Councillor Coun John Hemming said, “Frankly, the idea of Osborne as a role model is laughable. I can’t see many parents wanting their… Read more »

Ozzy Guitarist Crafts Own Heavy Metal Niche

Zakk Wylde tasted instant success when he became Ozzy Osbourne’s guitar player at age 20, but now he’s steadily coming out of his mentor’s shadow to ride the resurgence of heavy metal as a band leader. His group, Black Label Society, has been building a dedicated following around the United States, releasing four studio albums of aggressive guitars and raw vocals. The band’s first DVD, “Boozed, Broozed & Broken-Boned,” a performance filmed in Detroit last year, reached No. 3 on Billboard magazine’s music video chart in late August, behind Led Zeppelin and the Eagles. “With Black Label I get to… Read more »

And The Tony Award Goes To… Ozzy Osbourne?

Call it “Diary of Another Madman.” Ozzy Osbourne, who titled his second solo album Diary of a Madman, is writing a Broadway musical based on the nutty Russian monk Rasputin. The Prince of Darkness already has material written for the project and plans to record it at a studio he is building in the famed Osbournes house, he said last week. Ozzy, who recently parted with his longtime label, also said that when he releases the songs, or any recordings for that matter, he’ll distribute them independently. “We don’t like record labels,” the singer’s wife and manager, Sharon, said, sticking… Read more »

And I said, ‘Well then, I’m going,’” Sharon said. The separation only lasted a few days, with Sharon telling Walters, “The minute I left, the next morning, he gave up drinking. But… Read more »
