Earlier this year, the four original members of Black Sabbath- Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Terry “Geezer” Butler, and Bill Ward-got together to try to write some new material, possibly for another Sabbath album. And while they did come up with at least one new song-“Scary Dreams,” which was performed during this summer’s OzzFest sets-Osbourne tells LAUNCH that the prospect of more new music from Black Sabbath music is unlikely. “We all sat down and said, ‘It’s gotta be the same way as it was before,’ but it wasn’t, you know? I’m not the same anymore, neither are they, you know?… Read more »

The one thing fans will immediately notice about Ozzy Osbourne’s forthcoming LP Black Rain is that it’s drenched in some of the heaviest riffage to grace one of the Prince of Darkness’ solo outings – thanks, in large part, to Ozzy’s longtime guitarist, the Jack Daniel’s-chugging Zakk Wylde. According to Osbourne, there were times during the tracking of the album when he wondered whether the songs were too abrasive. But you see, Ozzy’s got this personal rule about making music. “If you’re heavy, don’t try to be f—ing light,” he explained. Wise words from a man whose stamp on the… Read more »
Sharon Osbourne seems to be doing well following her first session of chemotherapy Monday, with husband Ozzy by her side. She’s in “very good spirits – she’s very upbeat,” the Osbournes’ spokesperson told USA Today. Sharon’s three-month chemo prescription is treating the cancer that was initially thought to be confined to her colon, but following an operation, was found to have spread. She was first diagnosed with the disease earlier this month. After postponing the first two dates of Ozzfest when the diagnosis became public, Ozzy persevered on the annual trek without his wife and manager, who masterminds the annual… Read more »
Rock band the Black Crowes, who kicked off a North American tour with Oasis last weekend, took time out Monday to immortalize their handprints in concrete. At the 2025 VMAs this past weekend, YUNGBLUD joined Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt to honor Ozzy Osbourne—The Prince of Darkness—through the thing he loved most: music. Introduced by Ozzy’s son Jack alongside his children, the tribute ripped through “Crazy Train” (complete with the iconic “All aboard!”), Black Sabbath’s “Changes” (the same song YUNGBLUD performed during Ozzy’s final show, Back To The Beginning), and “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” The performance left the audience—including Ariana Grande—in awe, but not everyone shared the sentiment. The Darkness, best remembered for their fleeting 2003 hit “I Believe In A Thing Called… Read more »
YUNGBLUD, in our totally unbiased opinion, was one of the most iconic performers on the recent September 7 Video Music Awards show. The performer showed up and showed out in his trademark black leather pants and donned a black leather coat as he offered a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. In fact, Jack Osbourne introduced the performance alongside his children. The singer also wore Ozzy’s iconic cross necklace, kissing it before taking center stage. YUNGBLUD kicked off the performance with “Crazy Train,” which even included the iconic “All aboard!” He then elegantly switched modes into Black Sabbath‘s “Changes,” the same piece… Read more »
