'N Sync Gearing Up For Arena Tour


‘N Sync will tour North American arenas in the coming months in support of its 2001 Jive album, “Celebrity.” A full itinerary has not yet been unveiled, but dates are so far confirmed for five shows, beginning March 3 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore. The group’s stadium run last year grossed more than $90 million, according to Billboard sister publication Amusement Business. U2 Was Top Concert Money Earner


The rock band U2 had the second biggest tour ever during a year in which concert industry business was off but ticket prices continued to rise, an industry trade publication said Thursday. The top 100 concert tours sold 34.4 million tickets in 2001, down about 7 percent from 37.1 million the year before, according to an analysis by Pollstar magazine. Artist rights group plans pre-Grammy concerts


Pop stars including Elton John, Billy Joel, Sheryl Crow and the Eagles will perform a series of concerts the night before the Grammys to raise money for a fledgling group of performers seeking better treatment by major record labels, organizers said Wednesday. Linkin Park Planning Projekt Revolution Tour, Remix Album


Linkin Park is in the process of organizing its own headlining tour, the first Projekt Revolution Tour, tentatively set for January of 2002. Study reports Online promotion efforts are effective
