The Chicago alt-rock band, which includes The Academy Is…’s Adam Siska and suburban indie rockstar, Snow Ellet dropped their single “Like A Blister.” The track comes from their upcoming debut album, Overthinking Everything, which arrives on March 1 via Tiny Engines. Vocalist Ryan Nolen started the project in 2022, and the latest song encapsulates a montage of melancholia. Rain City Drive has reimagined their latest single, “Frozen,” via Thriller Records. The alt-hardcore act originally released the single in September but has given it an almost holiday-edge decoration to it. The first version was featured on Apple Music’s Breaking Hard Rock playlist. Reworking songs isn’t new; however, the band incorporated post-hardcore sounds with poppy beats and melodies in “Frozen (Reimagined)” while sprinkling in some holiday belles, which helps in slowing down the quicker pacing of the original.
